Taste is a full-service creative and experiential agency. We manage the social channels TasteToronto and TasteMontreal, run TasteToronto.com, a leading food and drink publication, and produce large-scale activations and festivals for brands and audiences across the country. We turn ideas into campaigns and experiences that forge lasting connections between brands and the people who love them. Taste was founded in Toronto, Ontario in 2015.
What you'll be doing:
Content Creation: Develop and produce original content (photos, videos, Reels, Stories) for platforms such as Instagram and TikTok. Use Toronto's food scene and our events as your playground to create adventurous, dynamic content for our devoted audience.
Event & Activation Content: Lead content capture on-site at our brand activations, festivals, and pop-ups. Plan shot lists, shoot live, and turn content around fast so our channels keep pace with the moment.
Account Management: Schedule content and keep our profiles populated and active. Build a content strategy that optimizes the platforms we are on and grows new channels to make a big splash.
Trend Spotting: Stay ahead of the latest social trends, formats, and tools, and adapt our content strategy to ride them.
Analytics & Reporting: Monitor social performance, read the engagement metrics, and sharpen our content strategy based on insights.
Platform Adaptation: Tailor content to the tone of each platform (Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, X), and repurpose it across mediums.
Collaboration: Work closely with the team to plan and execute creative ideas. Assist in creative ideation for organic content and large-scale client campaigns.
Brand Representation: Represent Taste at industry events, openings, and media shoots, and create content during significant activations, food festivals, and pop-up events.
What We're Looking For:
- 2+ years of experience in social media and content creation, ideally in an agency or events setting.
- Proven experience managing social platforms, especially Instagram and TikTok.
- Strong hands-on content skills across photography, videography, and copywriting.
- Comfortable shooting and editing on-site at live events and turning content around quickly.
- Passionate knowledge of Toronto's food scene, local restaurants, and cultural trends.
- Experience using scheduling tools like Later, Hootsuite, or similar.Strong knowledge of social media analytics and trends.
- Experience with industry-standard design and editing tools (Adobe Suite, CapCut, or similar).
- Available to work some evenings and weekends during activations and festivals.
- Must live in and be able to travel within Toronto, and occasionally beyond for events.
- Ontario Driver's License is a benefit, but not required.
- Energetic, adaptable, and a collaborative team player.
