In April 2026, Taste shook up the traditional dining experience with Aroma by Tia Rosa—a dining experience where guests ordered not from a menu, but by scent. Over two nights, guests in Vancouver, Canada joined in on the fun and filled up one of Kitsilano’s most popular taquerias for a truly authentic dining moment.

The Objective

Tia Rosa came to us with a bold ambition: make a massive splash in the Vancouver market and establish the brand with impact. We translated that brief into an unforgettable night of sensory-led dining, pairing craveable tacos with a vibrant, high-energy atmosphere designed to immerse every guest in the brand world. Layered on top, we engineered the entire experience to double as a live commercial shoot, orchestrating talent, lighting, and crowd choreography to capture authentic brand moments in real time.

Execution

We took over Lucky Taco, a vibrant and cozy authentic taqueria in the heart of Kitsilano, and transformed it into a fully branded Tia Rosa restaurant, built around a curated menu of four authentic tacos showcasing Tia Rosa tortillas as the hero. We curated a guest list of local tastemakers, influencers, and culturally-engaged Vancouverites, creating a room buzzing with the right energy and audience. The result was a truly authentic dining experience, a steady stream of highly shareable social moments, and a launch that firmly put Tia Rosa on Vancouver's radar.
