In April 2026, Taste brought the ‘Portal to Manitoba’ to life in the heart of Queen West — a two-day immersive pop-up showcasing the best that Manitoba has to offer for curious travellers. Life-sized polar bears, regional and quirky food items, a highly-curated playlist and an immersive Northern Lights exhibit generated positive brand sentiment and pushed interest in Manitoba tourism to an all-time high.

The Objective
The Travel Manitoba team came to us with an ask to attract more people to visit one of Canada’s best-kept travel destinations. We zoned in on Travel Manitoba’s key attractions and looked for a memorable and highly-impactful way to bring them to life.
Execution
We transformed a high-traffic intersection in Toronto into a bold portal into “Canada’s Heart” filled with friendly Manitobans, a Manitoba-inspired playlist, and thoughtful, interactive brand moments. Every detail—from factoids to friendly human conversations–was designed to transport each guest to Manitoba for a brief moment.
